Fibre Comparison
E Glass Fibre
Good compressive strength and stiffness, good tensile strength and excellent electrical properties at relatively low cost. Economical.
Basalt Fibre
Shows 15-12% higher tensile strength and modulus, better chemical resistance, extended operating temperature range, better environmental friendliness and recyclability than regular E glass. More economical than S Glass and Carbon.
Aramid Fibre
High strength, good impact, high abrasion resistance and medium stiffness.
Carbon Fibre
Very high strength in both tensile and compression, high stiffness and high resistance to corrosion, creep and fatigue. But poor impact strength. Expensive
